I simply fell in love with this Ancient Arts Yarn, Reinvent. Lace isn’t my usual go-to for weaving, or knitting for that matter. I've seen so many beautiful knit lace projects and I thought, why not weave lace and knit a border? Here's my take on lace, woven and kitted combined. This pattern is filled with hints and learning tips for advanced beginners who are ready to learn new techniques. If you are ready to move on from plain weave to learn a new technique, I suggest grabbing a copy of Jane Patrick’s book The Weaver’s Idea Book, read over the section on Leno Lace, then follow my photos and instructions. If you’ve woven Leno Lace and need no tutorial, just skip over the extra photos and you’re on your way.
